Section:6 Post: B

In this section close to the end, Baltimore,Dank,and Henry robb white men for there money. As they entered the room filled with men, they had over heard them being talked about as bad nigers. In the end they get the mony and Baltimore kills a guy name Louis. because Louis put his brother in jail for no reason and while he was in there he was killed. Was wrongly accused of in a situation that occured awhile ago.Then the men set up to hang low for awhile since there will be cops around searching for Louis's murderer and about the people who were robbed.
Baltimore also takes Franchetta out at Uncle Chunk's bar.Ther they had set up their plan to rob the men.Baltimore met a lady at a diner and they rented a hotel room and slept together there for onl a few hours instead o the whole day/night. Her name was Macy and she named Baltimore ham-n -eggs since thats what he usually always get from a diner. Before they met up with eachother at the diner,the night before he had seen Macy and her boyfriend.At the clun/resturant he saw that her boyfriend was abusive.

3 ex.of personification-Imagery-was used when the three boys:Baltimore,Henry and Dank robbed all the white men for there money.And Baltimore shot one of the guys in the head and chest,named Louis only because he got his younger brother sent to jail and killed.A mental picture was brought to mind in that scene in the book of he closing section of 6.
Symbol-A gun was used in the scene to threaten the men for there money and for Baltimore to kill Louis.
Metaphor-When Baltimore says Louis deserved to be killed.Even though he killed his brother doesn't mean everyone and anyone should get punished as o killing.Quote-"He deserved to die"pg.235

Section:5 Post:B

Frannie,Melvina and Daisy bring up an old relationship/fling that happened awhile ago between Franchetta and Baltimore.They discuss it in a way that brings up to many memories for her but good ones.Because at the moment he's staying with the four girls for a little while with his friend Henry.While there in the house together they still have this passion to sleep with one another while there their together.
They have a family type dinner together one night where they all dress up while the girls prepared their food.They start to have Baltimore and Henry stay at their place or awhile.

3 ex's of figurative language-Imagery is used when they explain how everyone is looking for dinner,you get a mental pictur in your head when they say in the book: Hours later,dinner was served as everyone sat around the table in evening attire: lon sleeves,dressy slacks,dresses,and heels.pg.194
Irony-is used whem henry says Uh-uh,apple pie is the root of all evil!" When what he really means is that Melvina's pie was nasty(apple).pg.195
personification-is used when one of the girls out of three of them say "But what if things get to hot for all of us." which is meaning Henry and Baltimore staying with them not just because of the heat in the kitchen.pg.191
Quote-When Frannie says "He must have been heavy on your heart onc upon a time." She says this to Franchetta because way back they used to talk and now they don't they're just like old love birds from the past. And Daisy and Melvina bring up her past in a discussion in the kitchen.

secton 4 post:B

Two black african american men with little money,hard laboring jobs,and has alot of racisim and discrimination going on around there time. When they're getting ready to eat dinner after work they get a kock on the door. Wen Henry answers it he describes him as an older loking white man with grayish white hair. The guy demands Baltimore to come with him or else he'd shoot them. So Baltiore goes with the guy.And the guy tells him "when we get inside,I don't want you to speak,cough or break wind.There are some very important people in there,and they won't stand for a uppity niggr interrupting their entrtainment," he warned Baltimore.

In th end the guy looses and while they're walking from the place Baltimore stabs the guy and tries to hide when he hears someone coming. When it is actually his friend Henry. They take his clothes and Baltimore steals his gold ring off his hand. After they get his stuff they pack up on a train to kansas city. When they awake they get a hot plate of breakfreast at a near by diner.From there they go to a shop where they go shopping fr ew clothes but are used. They use the money from what they stole that night from the white man. Next they catch a cab where they know the guy in it, who takes them to a a girl named Franchetta's house to stay.

This is the second part of the book of a different story called:Bad Luck Shadow-
Charmingly-pleasing;delightful.

Imagery- is used when Baltimore kills a white man because of him having to go gambling with hi and miss a hot meal for the night.
Metaphor- is used in the book when they say" A tortuous evening of bowing and shuffling had gotten the best of Baltimore Floyd."pg.159
Irony- is used when Baltimore teases and says"You ole rascal,I don't care what you had to do to com up with this meal fit for a king,but i hope your eyes was closed when you did it."pg.160
Quote-"shut that cupboard so they can't smell the taters." Henry said. This is when hey get ready to eat their hot meal for the night after a long and hard days work. And Henry only says this cause they hear a knock at the door and they don't want to share their food with anyone.pg.160
An emerging theme is when Baltimore kills the white old man that made him go with him gambling.

section 3:post B

In this section it talks about how Renee feels after the outcome of her best friends secret. Renee now is sad,depressed,and drinks alot.When she thought the whole time that her husband and best friend hated each other,it was only to show that they were together once before and she slept with him.And she feels bad cause she loves him,has been with him for 6yrs.and had a child for him.So basically she feels used.Because really to get to Inez he had to start dating her best friend Renee who he met at a club one night.So now that they've grown to like each other more then he thought he decided to leave Inez alone and to just spend his life with Renee.

This also goes back to the beginning because after this happened a few days later she went out to the club,where a guy set her up for prostitution.And that is how she got put into jail.In the end when she got out after 3 long months,Robbie her ex said he would have bailed her out if he would have known.All along he had her back even if she had left him for another man cause Robbie wasn't good enough for her.

Irony- used when her bestfriend Inez tells her the truth about her and Leon used to be together,Inez knew what was expected and going to happen.She knew soonr or later the truth would come out, and it eventually did 6yrs. later. pg.116
Quote-"I just don't show it the way you do." pg.116 the significance is that Renee is more to herself while hr bestfriend is more out there and outspoken.So Renee's basically saying she's not all out there and like that.And this is when Inez tells her bestfriend the secret she's been hiding from her for 6yrs.
